I’ve heard it from dozens of different business owners.
‘I hate this. There’s no way I’m going to keep doing any online stuff.’
‘I can’t wait until we get back to normal.’
‘All my clients will come in just like they always did.’
Look, I’m not going to say that some businesses won’t be able to go back to business as usual and survive.
Sure, some will.
1 on 1.
Semi-private.
Low-cost providers.
Athlete-based.
Those seem like they have the best chance of operating 6 months from now like they would have 6 months ago.
But as a general rule...you adapt or you suffer.
People had to adapt to automobiles, television, the internet and smartphones.
Those businesses that relied on the previous technology or railed against these advancements usually got left in the dust.
Businesses that were staples when I was growing up like Sears or J.C. Penny didn’t keep evolving...and they’re dying.
In fact, most businesses choose not to evolve.
And most businesses die over time.
But you don’t have to.
And this doesn’t mean that you have to go ‘all in’ on online training or anything.
But if you are unwilling to adapt to the way people behave and what they want...then you become irrelevant.
There are certain things that I’ve shared which I believe won’t change…
...but there are any number of things that will.
And they’re changing faster now with the pandemic than they would have on their own.
My hope for you is that you’re ready.
